COMMON NAME: Small-headed Marsh-elder
SYNONYMY: [= FNA, GW, K2, RAB, S, SE, WH3, Y]
PHENOLOGY: Sep-Oct.
HABITAT: Wet pine flatwoods, flatwood ponds, clay-based Carolina bays.
COMMENTS: C. NC south to s. FL, west to se. AL. A seed-banking annual, locally abundant some years and absent others depending on the variable hydrologic conditions of Carolina bays and other seasonally flooded wetlands.
