PHENOLOGY: May-Jul.
HABITAT: Moist forests, bottomlands, and thickets, particularly where disturbed.
COMMENTS: E. VA south to Panhandle FL, west to TX, north in the interior to s. OH, s. IN, s. IL, MO, and NE; also introduced at scattered sites inland.
