Location Notes: This space was protected during Education Center construction to preserve the trees and understory. Notable among the saved plants is a grove of Vaccinium arboreum at the northern end of the space. Ken Moore was especially instrumental in the protection of these plants. As of 2016, most of this bed is preexisting natural woodland. There are some plantings at the northern and western edges.
