Cultivar Comments: This cultivar of Yaupon Holly produces new foliage with an intense, burgundy-red color. As they mature, each shrub will reach 4 to 5 feet in height, and spread to as much as 5 to 6 feet in width. They can be pruned to attain a more formal profile, or to keep them more compact, or left to follow their natural shape. This evergreen shrub is adaptable to a variety of soil types, and is quite drought-tolerant once it is established. The fruit is eaten by birds and mammals.
